Slovakia Tourist Visa for Indian Passport Holders

Planning a trip to Slovakia? Indian passport holders are required to obtain a Schengen Short-Stay (Type C) Sticker Visa before travelling. A Slovakia Schengen Visa allows eligible travellers to visit Slovakia and other Schengen member countries for tourism, family visits, or short business trips for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Applications are submitted through the Embassy of the Slovak Republic or its authorised Visa Application Centre.

Visa Documents Checklist

Applicants generally need the following documents:

Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years
Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
Two recent passport-size photographs as per ICAO specifications
Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
Confirmed flight reservation
Confirmed hotel booking or accommodation proof
Detailed travel itinerary
Overseas travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, valid throughout the Schengen Area
Proof of sufficient financial means (recent bank statements, salary slips, Income Tax Returns, etc.)
Employment proof (leave approval, employment letter) or business registration documents
Proof of civil status, if applicable
Any additional supporting documents requested by the Embassy.

Processing Time

Standard processing time is generally 15 calendar days from the date of submission.
Processing may take up to 45 calendar days if additional scrutiny or documentation is required.
Applicants are advised to apply at least 3–4 weeks before their intended travel date.

Children below 6 years: No visa fee
VFS Service Fee: Applicable in addition to the visa fee as per the authorised Visa Application Centre.

Travel Advice
