Netherlands Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens

Planning a trip to the Netherlands? Visa Documents Checklist

Applicants should generally prepare the following documents:

Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years
Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
Two recent passport-size photographs as per Schengen specifications
Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
Confirmed round-trip flight reservation
Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation
Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, valid throughout the Schengen Area
Proof of sufficient financial means (latest 3–6 months' bank statements)
Income Tax Returns (ITR), if applicable
Employment proof (leave approval letter, salary slips, employment certificate) or business registration documents
Proof of civil status, if applicable
Any additional documents requested by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Processing Time

Standard Processing Time: Approximately 15 calendar days
Processing may take up to 45 calendar days if additional verification is required.
Applicants are advised to apply at least 3–4 weeks before their intended travel date.

Children (6–11 years): EUR 45
Children below 6 years: Free
