Norway Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens

Visa Documents Checklist

Applicants should generally prepare the following documents:

Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years
Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
Two recent passport-size photographs as per Schengen specifications
Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
Confirmed round-trip flight reservation
Hotel reservation or invitation letter from the host in Norway
Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
Proof of sufficient financial means (latest 6 months' bank statements)
Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last 2–3 years
Employment proof (employment letter, leave approval, salary slips) or business registration documents
Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, valid throughout the Schengen Area
Proof of civil status, if applicable
Any additional documents requested by the Royal Norwegian Embassy or VFS Global

Standard Processing Time: Approximately 15 calendar days after submission.
Processing may take up to 30–45 calendar days in cases requiring additional verification.
Applicants can apply up to 6 months before the intended travel date and should ideally apply at least 3–4 weeks before departure.
